"Wan Hai Planting Forests" - Taijiang National Park Wangzailiao Barrier Island Tree-Planting Event

Taipei, May. 19, 2023 – Wan Hai Lines, guided by the principle of environmental protection, has been promoting the tree-planting and afforestation project since 2022. Wan Hai is committed to long-term tree-planting and afforestation in Taiwan, aiming to plant over 600,000 native Taiwanese tree species across the country in the coming years, fulfilling the social responsibility. On May 19th, Wan Hai Lines organized the "Taijiang National Park Wangzailiao Barrier Island Tree-Planting Event" in collaboration with the Taijiang National Park Management Office and the Tse-Xin Organic Agriculture Foundation. The event aimed to protect the natural and cultural heritage of Taijiang National Park and conserve the ecological environment of Qigu Lagoon, the largest lagoon in Taiwan, through coastal afforestation, showcasing the determination for sustainable landscapes. Wan Hai aims to create awareness among its stakeholders on the importance of sustainable environmental by inviting them to participate in a series of tree- planting activities. Representatives from Banks and customers had been invited during 2022 tree-planting events and over 30 key suppliers together with local community from Taijiang are invited for today “Wangzailiao Barrier Island Tree-Planting Event". Wan Hai believes collective action is needed to mitigate climate change, preserve biodiversity, and promote the sustainable use of the Earth's resources. Wan Hai is committed to practicing ESG sustainable management, implementing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and Biological Diversity, and providing assistance to vulnerable groups both domestically and internationally. Wan Hai aim to spread hope and kindness and work towards the sustainable goals set by Wan Hai, achieving mutual benefit and prosperity with society and the environment.
